The best time to visit Patong's temple is in the late afternoon when its thousands of golden ornaments glow in the light of the setting sun.

It is located on the outskirts of town  right where you enter or leave.

The Patong Beach Wat is at the foot of the high hill and it is a most impressive icon  waving hello and goodbye to thousands of wayfarers every day.

The Patong temple has prospered and expanded greatly in recent years. Everywhere you will see construction work going on.

Monks in saffron robes silently, patiently carrying, building and lifting.

The roofs of the new buildings are just as elaborately built of the same beautiful, craftily bricks, lacquered in traditional orange nuances.
