Chinese people make for the biggest majority on Phuket as in
the whole of Thailand.
This Chinese temple is located on a visible spot right next to the road
on the highest of the seven hills between Kathu and Patong Beach.
This
Eastern access road to Patong is where most tourists ride into town. It is a
pretty harbinger.
Wat Pu Tuao Tong is dedicated to the Tiger God and a favorite among
tuktuk and lorry drivers.
They honk their horns in childlike delight while passing. A few will even
wai the temple while driving, causing a momentary deroute.
Pillion riders on the many motorcycles to pass by every
day most certainly wai and bow their heads for a short second while passing.
