Spending time in Thailand usually means spending time on some kind of motorbike. Most common is of course the Honda Dream and it's equals. All motorbikes have a tendency to run out of gas sooner or later which is why some of the entrepreneurs here on Phuket sell it at strategic places. Patong for instance only have one "real" gas station and it's not exactly located in the center of the action.

So when you're in the red, just pull over at one of these tiny gas stations and get juiced up. The price is higher here than in the "real" gas stations but then again they're more convenient. Just a barrel of gas and a manual pump. That's all you need to set up shop if you're interested in getting a piece of the gas market in Patong Beach. You don't even have to be able to spell Gasoline...
