When you've seen most of the sights in and around Patong and the other popular beaches, you might want to consider a somewhat different destination for an excursion. The Blue Point Bar for instance. It's on the hill just south of Patong and if you're on foot, you have a nice little walk ahead of you. It's uphill most of the time. Once you get up you will be greatly rewarded though. The view down towards Patong is excellent.

As you come to the Blue Point Bar you will be greeted by the staff and the drinks are not expensive according to Patong standards. But the strongest points for this place is the peaceful atmosphere and the spectacular view.
