"It's very green, very warm and very humid. And of course, absolutely wonderful".

Pretty nice stuff...pic by trv.netKata and Kata Noi are two idyllic beaches south of Karon (which is located south of Patong). It's a very family friendly place with a post card feeling. The beach is clean and there are many different restaurants and refreshments available.

There is a place where you can stop for some shade when you're going here. That's where the first picture is taken. Just a roof to keep the sun from burning your tender skin. Turning around, you'll be able to see a small island. It's very good water for snorkeling and many people swim from the beach and around the island.

Can you see the island?...pic by trv.net
This area is not so heavily exploited as further north and there's a lot of untouched nature still left to be seen. You don't even have to look that hard. It's very green, very warm and very humid. And of course, absolutely wonderful.

Happy, eh?...pic by trv.netKoy and the island...pic by trv.net

"Every time I go to Kata and Kata Noi, I stop here for a moment"
says Koy. "It's such a great view and I would have to be in a real hurry to skip it".

Down at the beach...pic by trv.netWith the white sand, the soothing sounds of the ocean and all the smiles of Thailand, a special word comes to mind. The word is paradise...

Next week Koy will be taking you to Surin Beach. It's a nice enough place but the main attraction for Koy is the Buffaloes. For some reason these gentle beasts have found a place in Koy's heart. Read all about it next week!
