"Don't
bring your Ghetto Blaster..."

When enjoying the view from Prom
Thep Cape, there is an Island that seems uninhabited within sight. After
numerous visits to this picturesque spot, a decision was made to see more of
that island.
| When entering the beach on
this Island you find out that it's not an uninhabited one. There are
actually quite a few people staying here. The setting is spectacular
and what better place for a meditation center for monks? |
 |
 |
As it turns out, the
Island is used as a sort of "meditation school" for Buddhist
monks. You are however allowed to pay them a visit and stroll around
on their Island. You will find some nice monuments and structures
and it is well worth a visit. Especially if you have chartered a
boat anyway and happened to pass by. There are a few things you
should keep in mind though. It is a place for peace and quiet and
you should not come here with a ghetto blaster and expect to have a
party. Use common sense and respect the fact that this is a Buddhist
sanctuary. |

So, if you can follow these
simple rules, visit this Island. It's a hidden treasure that people are
likely to miss when visiting Phuket.
