"The view from Wat Koh Sireh
makes it well worth the stairs. But it sure is nice you can take the car most of the
way..."
The
Wat at Koh Sireh has a wonderful view over Phuket Town and its surroundings. To get to it
you have to go up a quite steep hill. Fortunately you can take the car most of the way.
Once you're up, you still have the stairs to climb but it's not that big a deal. If you've
come this far, you might as well go the distance. Before you go up the stairs it's strongly recommended
that you take a walk around the Wat to get a 360 degree panorama and to check out various
artwork. The Wat is beautifully decorated so you will have more than just the view to look
at if you decide to drop in some time.
There
is one thing you need to think about. The Wat is not open 24 hours a day, more like dawn
till dusk. But the view is still spectacular at night with all the lights of Phuket
Town...
"It's
a real treat to come here" says Koy. "The Wat itself is very beautiful
and the setting is spectacular." Once inside the Wat you will find a huge Buddha
lying there. That's this weeks "cliffhanger". You're just going to have to see
it with your own eyes.

Next week
Koy will take you to Kata. Actually it's two places. Down on the beach and from a
distance. It's another favorite spot of hers and it's not hard to see why. Be sure to
check it out next week!
